Freeburg’s Noah Williams, who plays club soccer for St. Louis Scott Gallagher, attended the PepsiCo Showdown College Showcase for the second straight year. “Going the year before showed what I need to work on,” Williams said. “I knew I could improve a lot. Enter new Resurrection coach Mike Wasielewski, who has deep roots in high school soccer. He is the main reason the Lane Tech girls soccer program is where it is today. During his tenure at the Chicago school, he led the Indians to four regional titles – one in Class AA and three in Class 3A – and four city championships during a six-year span from 2007-2013. This might be Emily Graham’s senior season at Riverside-Brookfield, but the goalie is nowhere near the end of her soccer career. Back in February, the Lyons Township Soccer Club product signed to play Big Ten soccer at Purdue.
